Has the whole world gone CRAZY?!
wow... those are some interesting images. I particularly like our south park formats, but it's also interesting to see a picture of Jeff (I don't think I've ever seen him before).
Today Ralph and I were walking through Whitewater when a blue government van pulled up. The side door opened and out jumps a black guy in cammo carrying six assault rifles on what appear to be oversized key rings for guns.
Now, normally I wouldn't be worried about the military with guns (they ARE the military after all), but this was THREE FEET in front of me, on a COLLEGE CAMPUS.... and he was carrying the guns like they were KEYS. Does anyone else see something wrong with this picture?!

this is cool. shown at deej's forum.
and last, but not least, are me (bob), poncho, and james in south park form.

true story
peter told me about this one.
there is this old bald man (note: that is not my dad, just another bald guy, though he does have a light blue (blue? i'm colorblind) colored shirt. i don't know if the guy was wearing that color or whatever, he could have been running around naked for all i care. pete didn't tell me everything. though i do hope, for peter's sake at least, that the guy wasn't naked. he probably wasn't naked though, or he would have been asked to leave. or been screamed at until he left in shame. but if he wasn't ashamed to walk into a public restaurant naked, then being yelled at probably wouldn't do it either. where was i? holy cow, that was a tangent, hey?
anyhoo, this old bald guy comes into mcdonald's. i know i got that far. okay. so he asks for soup (pete is at the register, by the way). pete tells him, "i'm sorry, sir, but we don't have soup right now." so the guy stands there looking at the menu for a bit (i'm assuming there wasn't anybody waiting..) and then says, "so you don't have soup?"
"no."
"you sure?"
"yes sir, very sure."
this conversation went on for a good 8 minutes, according to my brother. this might seem a bit ludicrous to you, but i believe him. i've seen the stupid things people can do. i mean come on, people! mcdonald's is not a short-order kitchen! for crying out loud. it's like mcdonald's sends out a message to all the stupid people: come here. we like to deal with your idiotic notions.
i think i'll release you for now. but beware of the mcdonald strips: i tend to go off on people. ;)
so yeah. i set up a new computer for somebody at work (the office job) yesterday. i delivered it at the end of the day, when it was finally complete. i let my dad (who, as you prolly already know, is my boss) know that it was done and i was leaving for school. so on my way there, i get a call on my cell. it's my dad. he's all pissed off because the computer doesn't work. i ask, what's the problem? what happened? he's too angry and upset to even talk about it. so i come in to work before my 10:00 class to try to fix it (if i couldn't, i'd go in after class ends at noon). i spent from 7am to about 9:30 on it, and i finally did fix it. most of you, i imagine, are not mac people so i won't bore you (if you want to know, tell me.. i'd be happy to tell all details if you're really interested, because it's actually a common problem). but yeah, i fixed it, and i don't have to go back into work. whee. so i get to rake if i go home.. i think i'll stay here. mm yeah.

susan actually came up with today's comic and asked me to draw it. the original, of course, was in black and white (well, grey and white, since it was in pencil), but it's a favorite from wctc.
come on, james. you expect him to be less psychopathic? this is jason we're talking about. and jason hates bob saget with a passion; that's what's going on. i, on the other hand, think he's funny. stupid funny, but still funny.
yesterday morning i played some more ps2 half-life for about an hour and a half. i was using the quicksave alot, which saves to the console's memory instead of using the memory card. nice and quick, thus the name. anyhoo, i hadn't used the "real" save at all since i started, and the game FROZE ON ME! AAAHH!! so now i have to work my way back, being very careful to use the "real" save every half hour or so. if i'm lucky, it won't crash or freeze on me again, but i'm taking no chances.
last night jason and i watched the nightmare before christmas (sarah joined us too). good movie.

i have completed the comic's updated format. 'bout time. the font face and size is all the same, throughout the entire site. the new linkbar looks exactly how i want it to on every page. woot. it took some doing, for sure. i hacked through the html on every page to make it juuuuust right, but it was worth it. the site looks beautiful now. and, by coincidence, i also started the comics in color. just in time for the site format change, i guess.

i girl i know at work told me last night about something that happened to her. someone told her that she is boyfriend-less because she doesn't flaunt herself. to make herself more attractive, she has to flaunt. or so she was told.
i really hate guys. yes, i am a guy. but i am also not your typical guy; i think girls are more attractive without makeup, i prefer long skirts/dresses to short ones, i prefer pants or capris to shorts (or short shorts), i could go on and on. but the point is, why do guys think girls should flaunt themselves? you want to have a slut for a girlfriend? that's sick. what's wrong with a t-shirt and jeans, huh? what's wrong with little or no eye-liner? what's wrong with acting like a normal person and not like a whore?
i think guys are stupid, shallow, and disgusting. end of story.

last night was insane. again. i hope all those annoying mcdonald's customers choke and die. sort of. i only bear ill will towards the people who feel it is their duty to order 8 sandwiches in drive-through and then complain how the one person making their sandwiches is moving too slow. next time, you can make your OWN FREAKING SANDWICH. okay?
so james calls me last night. he's at sentry, real close to mcd's, and wants to know if i want to do something. figures. i got his message 2 minutes after i walk into my house. gah! ah well. at least we can do something today.
i have to fix a bunch of stuff on the comic. i know the archive pages aren't showing correctly; i need to add the css file to the archive directory. i also have to fix the other pages, so the link bar shows up properly on each. i think that's it. yeah, and i got the shoutbox going.. say hi! i'm also thinking of adding my picture to the "about" page.
my brother had a cinnamon roll in the fridge. i saw it and took it. he tried to remove it from my grasp, but i was too strong for him. i hissed at him. my mom came up from behind me to take it away from me, so i growled and bit her. when all else fails, resort to hissing and biting.

Don't buy Pepsi in the new can
Pepsi has a new "patriotic" can coming out with pictures of the Empire State
Bldg. and the Pledge of Allegiance on them. But, Pepsi left out two little
words on the pledge, "Under God." Pepsi said they did not want to offend anyone.
If this is true then we do not want to offend anyone at the Pepsi corporate
office. If we do not buy any Pepsi product then they will not receive any of our
monies. Our money after all does have the words "Under God" on it.
Please pass this word to everyone you know--let your voices be heard. We want
the words "Under God" to be read by every person who buys a can.
if this is true, i am not happy with pepsi. sigh.
ooh. i have a big head now.
and i have to go outside and rake. poo. i also have to wash the basement floor because mom spilled soda all over it. (smooth, eh?) and vacuum the stairs. why? i don't know. because she said so. i also want to get to the library before 9 (that's when it closes). then at 9 jason and i are going to have buttsex watch a movie. 28 days later and it's 3 new endings. unless we don't. then we'll do something else.
you may be wondering why i haven't said a thing about the comic. well, since i took off the daily post things from keenspace, i put them on my network folder at school. that means that i can only access them when i'm at school. and since i'm too lazy to think up new things to say about the comics (at least the ones i did the posts for), i'd rather just post them when i have the posts handy (i.e., when i'm at school.. and i won't be there until monday). so yeah.

i am a big fan of dragonball z, and i watch it when i can (right up there with darkwing duck and kim possible). but i know little about it, so i guess that makes me a poor excuse for a fan. :p
i hope all further comics will be in color. we'll see.
no, bob's hair will stay black. :p
when i originally did this comic, bob's hair color did not change. jason and jerod both suggested to me that his hair should turn yellow. it was too good an idea to pass.

comicky goodness and other strange stories
i changed the main page for the comic. chances are, if you're reading this, you've already seen it. there are two issues.
1) i'm too lazy to change the rest of the site.
2) perhaps you've noticed that the "rant" clashes with the site design. since i have alot of "rants" for the comics saved already, it would require ALOT of work to rework all those. i really don't feel up to it right now (i.e., i'm lazy), partly because i want to watch the dead zone now. also partly because i just reworked the entire main page! that was alot of work. besides, now i have a general layout for all the rest of the pages. so poop on you.
yes, i know there are some problems yet with the comic. like the huge space in between the ad and the header bar. i know it. and how the font is not normal.. i have to change that too. but not today.
there seems to be a slight problem with the blog page. occasionally, when i visit the blog, it stops loading. i don't know why this is. does anybody else have this problem? (oh, duh, if they did, they probably wouldn't be reading this..) anyhoo, let me know. what i do (and it "fixes" it, temporarily, anyway) is open up the internet options and click ok. then the page continues loading without a hitch. strange, no?

i have a meeting tonight with my networking class group. we have to get a whole crapload of crap to do. until then, i'm working on the comic and watching movies. i think the dead zone is next. :) i got yelled at for renting resident evil (and silly me.. if i had known jason had it, i wouldn't have spent my money). "i don't want you bringing those kind of movies into my house," is what my mom told me. give me a break. i saw worse movies - like alien and aliens - when i was 6. and it was mom and dad who let me watch them. sheesh. i am so looking forward to re2. ohh yeeeaahh. that's another movie i'm looking forward to.
28 days later should be coming out on video soon, if it isn't already. that's another good zombie movie. i wanted to see it again in the theater before it came out on video, but i never got the chance.

"hurry up! you need to bring up your laundry!"
"okay, here's my laundry. what are you putting in the wash now?"
"whites."
"here you go."
"what about your socks?"
"i'm wearing them."
"they're white."
"they're also clean."
"but they'll get dirty."
"what, you want me to wash my clean white socks, so they won't get dirty?"
"i just don't want you wearing them."
yes, kids, this is just part of a wonderful and exciting discussion about laundry my mom and i had not 5 minutes ago. she wants me to wash my clean white socks that i'm wearing as slippers.. oy. you can't make this stuff up, folks.
i just got home from a short but harrowing close at the great mcdonald's. i have a headache. this afternoon i went over to jason's house to do something with him and james. after jason got yelled at by his mom, we went to see kill bill volume one. again, for me. :D still great. i caught some things this time around that i missed the first time. like how the beeping sound is bleeping her name out. i was stupid, i guess. and how the chronology is all messed up - on purpose - throughout the movie. in the beginning, o-ren is crossed off. which means she went to japan first to kill her.. then came to suburbia to kill the next person. hm. but if that's so, why didn't she pull a little samauri action and slice up the second lady? i don't know. maybe she didn't want to. yep. good movie. i'll have to find out when kbv2 comes out. until then, i have the matrix revolutions and lotr:rotk to look forward to. not to mention setting up our crazy little lan party for new year's.
jess took me (on our "surprise" double date) to see the texas chainsaw massacre. the journal sentinel gave it 1 and a half stars, but i know better (at least i should) than to believe them. i loved it. very scary (at least startling and jumpy) and suspenseful. and gory. did i mention gory? i read that it isn't as gory as the original, but seeing a guy's leg being lopped off is pretty gory to me. i'm not complaining (i would be if i were that guy, though).
and for dinner, we went to some crazy western-style restaurant. i had an 11-ounce sirloin. topped with lots and lots of sauteed mushrooms, in addition to rolls, green beans, and mashed potatoes. oh my goodness. it was wonderful. only problem was the salt. i think they decided there was too much sodium in the world, so they donated 18 and a quarter tons of it to my steak. those of you who know me, you know about my problem with salt. i cannot under any circumstances eat anything with salt (especially popcorn). well, they dumped the salt on the steak, which was covered in mushrooms as well. the mushrooms caught most of it, so when i scraped them off the steak, all was well. i didn't even realize at the time that there was so much salt, i just always save the mushrooms for last. so after i finished my steak, i moved on to the mushrooms. not realizing my fate, i just stuck that puppy right in my mouth. any salt, not to mention 3 pounds of it, will initiate a gag reflex in my mouth. you can imagine the urge i'm fighting so i don't upheave my nice steak dinner in front of jess and these other 2 nice people (well, that's iffy for the guy, but i'll get to that later) that have met me just hours ago. so yeah, needless to say, i couldn't eat the mushrooms i so craved. :( at least we didn't have ice cream. then i would have really been disappointed.
poor jason. so while i had a fantastic evening (aside from the poor mushrooms), his homecoming night, i hear, wasn't the greatest. seriously. sarah, if you happen to read this, please consider all that jason has done and continues to do for you. i don't believe in "fate," not when it pertains to couples, and i certainly don't buy into the whole "one true love" or "love at first sight" thing, but jason is faithful, kind, and nice. he (as i know him) is a great friend and is always talking about how great you are (really, i can't get him to shut up). so please take that into consideration. i don't like to see him hurt (i already did once, with the evil one, and i have no desire to repeat it). while i realize it is not my place to say anything (as you two are a couple and i am nothing more than jason's friend), this is my blog, so i will have my say. i guess what i'm getting at is, please consider what he does for you. you owe him that much.
// end rant
okay, one more thing on my mind. if you happen to read this, doug, pay REAL CLOSE ATTENTION.
i mentioned the guy on jess's and my double date. this guy is the husband of jess's friend, who she works with at the day-care center. all night long (or nearly so), he was looking at jess's chest. i didn't notice, because i was doing the same thing. (kidding. not all night.) buddy, be glad she noticed but didn't say anything. if i ever catch you doing it, i SWEAR, I WILL RIP OUT YOUR THROAT AND FEED IT TO YOU. this pisses me off to no end. i cannot articulate how furious i am at you.
NUMBER ONE: you are married. stay faithful, you cheating little punk.
NUMBER TWO: she's my fiancee. i will do what it takes to protect her, no matter what, even if what goes on is only in your own little head.
NUMBER THREE: i hate guys like you. i had to deal with your kind all through high school. your kind got hooked up with the best girls and treated them like trash, cheated on them, and lied to them. i HATE your kind with a passion i cannot describe as other than blind rage.
to everyone else who bore through this last section, i apologize. i had to get that off my chest. you have no idea how difficult it was to say all that without swearing.

Where have all the morons gone?
Okay, so I had plans with about five different people today. Suddenly by stroke of fate, none of them are free.
I don't blame Jason for not being free because of his desire to rule over homecoming with an iron fist (and to be fair we didn't have plans anyway). But the other stories are interesting...
A couple of my friends said they would be free come 7 tonight. I found out at 4:30 this afternoon that they are actually going to some sort of party together. I think they said something about a family party yet they are related in no way. Go figure THAT one... but better yet is RALPH's story...
Apparently today he went to Illinois for his haircut (don't ask), so his mother drove him down there in the morning. She apparently neglected to tell him that they weren't coming back. That's right, they had a family gathering to go to. She didn't tell him before she left and now he won't be home until who knows when. Isn't that great parenting?
I saw the best shirt EVER yesterday at Hot Topic. No, I won't tell you what it said. It would ruin the joke as I plan to get it eventually and show you all in person.
But what to do with my Saturday night now? Well, perhaps I'll go harass Paul...

i added the title field to the posts, so we can say little tidbits leading to what we say. or just spout random things. whatever works.
so i finished spy dance today at work on my lunch break. it was okay. it got better once i was past the middle. but GRAVY, it was boring in the second quarter of the book. i feel better now that it's over. ;) now i need a new book. figures that it happens on a friday. see, the public library a couple miles from my house is open til 9 on the weekdays, 5 on fridays and saturdays, and is closed all day on sundays. of course i don't get off work until 5:30 on fridays. of course, i still have no idea what i want to read anyhoo. something steven king or anne rice. but the library doesn't have the first vampire chronicle book (its anne rice selection is very limited as it is), and its stephen king section isn't that great either. i wanted to read the langoliers, but they don't have that. so i'm thinking maybe the stand.

(Great job, Paul... Thanks!)
As you've probably noticed, Paul/Bob posts a lot more than I do. This is probably due to my erractic access to a computer at school. Or maybe it's just laziness, I don't really know. At any rate, don't expect me to be a very reliable poster... post-er? Oh well, you get the point.
I just finished my Russian homework and now my neck really hurts. I suppose 'tis the price I pay for doing the audio homework off the website instead of having the drive to have a CD made - tilting your head up and down between the monitor (pause button) and a piece of paper (homework) while wearing wireless headphones probably isn't a great idea. Oh well, I'll live (I think).
I wish I had more money... Matrix Reloaded came out yesterday (although I'm also subscribing to the "wait for the Trilogy Box" philosophy), Dope comes out with a new CD on Tuesday, and the DBZ GameCube game comes out on the 28th - with a free DVD if you get it from GameStop, and I still want Soul Calibur II. And yet... I have money for none of this.
However, I will be accepting donations from anyone that wishes to give them. And yes I am serious.

so i'm in the middle of reading this book, spy dance, by some guy, allan topol. it's a spy novel (no kidding) and it's boring as all getout. i mean really. i have read some of tom clancy's stuff, and some stuff that tom clancy thought about and got paid to let someone ELSE write, but even THAT was good. but come on, allan. this stuff sucks. matt, i'm going to kill you with my mind for letting me borrow the book. i think that's all for now.
oh yeah. not much for linkage right now, but they're over on the left. one goes back to the comic (since you probably got here from my comic), but if you didn't, GO THERE NOW. this is not a plug in any way. and the other one is my friend emily's blog. of course, she doesn't call it a blog, it's a JOURNAL. okay, whatever. the conversation went something like this:
hey! you have a blog!
huh?
a blog.
what's a blog?
mmyep. /me dislikes all non-geeks sometimes. they use the technology and don't know what it's CALLED. grr. anyhoo.
today is october 15! you know what that means, sports fans... well maybe not. one person for sure does though.. it's my -1 year wedding anniversary! (or, i'm getting married in one year to the day.) i'm so very lucky to have jess. :)
well, the matrix reloaded is out on dvd and i don't have it. sigh. i can wait for the trilogy box set, i think. but you know, if someone does want to get me reloaded, i won't complain. ;) i have a test in 10 minutes. ooh, excel. sounds hard, eh? mm nope. it's a 100-level class and i want it to be DONE. it's so BORING.
yes mom, i'm coming home after class. :p
i can't decide on which page style i like. and yay. james' li'l avatar thingy works now. you like?
i'm going home now. to sleep, perchance to dream.
'night. i'll fix james' avatar tomorrow.
grr. i am so frustrated, words cannot express it.
i had wanted to post my blogs from the main page on the comic, instead of being limited to daily rants. (someday i may explain, if you care, how that works.) but NO. i am severely limited by what keenspace requires and can do. it IS a free service, after all. ANYhoo, i just decided to post here on this seperate blog page. if you care, come here are read my rantings. if not, i don't care.
my thoughts are so convoluted and i confuse myself with big words. my head hurts. ow.
Wow. After all my debating, I'm actually using blogger...
woo. the new blog page is all set up. but as i would like it to be seen from the main page, i think i'll play around with the format a bit.
